The first time I met Ian Kemp in the sparkling blue waters of St. Thomas, I was six years old and we shared a summer beneath the stars.
The second time I met Ian Kemp, he was a shell of the boy I once knew. Turbulent and infuriating, he refused my friendship at every turn. Like me, he was a casualty of life’s cruelty, but we were planets apart.
We’d both sought refuge on the island, hoping to find our anchor. Instead, we found each other and managed to reclaim our stars...until we both got swept away.
I was kindley given an ARC copy of Someone Else’s Ocean and WOW! It’s actually the first book I’ve read by Kate Stewart. Kate’s book Drive has been on my TBR list for a while now.
First off there will be no spoilers here. I absolutely loved this book. The cover of this book is stunning. Someone Else’s Ocean takes place in St. Thomas and when you think of St. Thomas you’re immediately brought there. I loved Ian and Koti’s connection. The nickname Ian gave Koti is so stinking cute. Kate’s writing style was perfect and the story flowed nicely. I loved the graphic colors for each chapter (Blue is my favorite color). This book is told by Koti’s point of view and Ian’s point of view. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves a second chance romance type book with a happy ending.
